Johnny Daggers began his career in film in 2010 when he wrote, directed and starred in his award winning short film, Samhain: Night Feast. Fed up with corporate Hollywood horror, Daggers took it upon himself to the film. A film designed to bring the old school feel back to the horror audience. Initially the film was made for nothing more than enjoyment, and was never intended for international release. That would quickly change. Just weeks after the film's completion, Daggers received word that Samhain: Night Feast would be screened at the Bastards Of Horror Short Film Festival (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania). Much to Daggers surprise, the film was deemed the "crowd favorite", thus winning the film festival. Daggers had already begun his venture on another film, Caustic Zombies, and decided that with the success of the Bastards Of Horror Short Film Festival that he would launch a legitimate production company, DaggerVision Films.
