Finally, it's happened, one of us has sat down and played a game from start to finish. If you'll recall our post Black Friday episode, you'll remember hearing Josh say that he purchased Assassin's Creed: Origins for $34.99 from Target, and guess what . . . he's finally finished. Despite Brank's level 30 Assassin brag, Josh finished the game first, and though he and Brank don't exactly agree on the quality of the game, here's some thoughts on the complete experience.

Episode 34 - Super BS Picks a Game of the Year

Welcome back dudes and dudettes and non-binary gamers. We have a special episode for you this week. We're picking our games of the year and our game of the year.

Meanwhile, on home consoles, Brank and Jank are both running around the sands of Egypt in Assassin's Creed: Origins. Donna is diving into some mobile games and still exploring the world of Tamriel in Elder Scrolls Online. The dudes discuss PSX and the lack of exciting news to come out of it. Apparently there's going to be a remaster of Medieval, we still don't know what the game play is going to look like in Death Stranding, and God of War is going to take way too long to finish. Brank wants to know what Jank and Donna think of the possible accquisition of Fox by Disney. What does this mean for Marvel fans? And how is it going to affect James Cameron and the Avatar franchise.

Finally, we get into our game of the year discussions, narrowing down our top five to Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Oddyssey, Cuphead, Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice and Torment: Tides of Numenera. There were a lot more games on that list originally, but you'll have to listen to find out what they were!

Episode 33 - Origins and Animators, and Elder Scrolls, Oh My . . .

The brosefs (and brosette?) have returned ready to wage war on the endless tide of video games which we call the year 2017.

The bank himself, Davey "StankBank" McMuffin, explains that for some dumb reason he is still playing WoW (should be called MeH). The professor, Brian "Brank Broderson" Wegener II, talks a little bit about Xenoblade Chronicles 2, how much he loves it, and how deftly it handles sexuality and honoring its female characters. An instructor, at Devry, Josh "Jank Jankerson" Palderson, talks about one game and one game only, Assassin's Creed: Origins. A game which he, a lowly level 12, has barely begun to play, while the great (and honorable) Brank is already level 23, which is at least 11 levels higher (if not more) than 12. A guest of great esteem, the mighty Ashlander shares her recent faves, such as: Super Mario Odyssey, first time ever that we've mentioned it on Super bs; Cuphead, a game that we at Super BS have written a great many sonnet about; Hue, a color-blending platformer, which Brank has already beaten and can assure you, it's worth your time; and she has also been playing AC:O (Assassin's Creed: Origins), she is level 31, which yes, it is 8 levels higher than Brank's character, he humbles himself before her and begs her to share her wisdom regarding her journeys around ancient Egypt. The Dr. Donna, reminds us that AC:O isn't the first game that had a protagonist exploring tombs, as he regales us with his stories of Rise of The Tomb Raider. Davey, Brank, and Donna then talk about the mysteries of Elder Scrolls Online, and discuss what it's like being a Nord, Argonian, and whatever the heck Dave is. Special regular Git Git (nÃ©e Vit Vit) Mesquite, talks about his love of Switch; he chats about the exploration in Breath of the Wild, and how much he loves Golf Story, I mean this dude is smitten by that game. If I can be honest for a quick sec, he's not really smitten with Golf Story, but maybe he is, you'll have to listen to find out. He then talks about Ponchos (?) a PC game, that he really likes. Jalee (nÃ©e Git Git) then quizzes us on the top selling console manufacturers and asks us to put them in order, there's a clear winner/tie-r, but you'll have to listen (twice) to find out.

The Bank takes us down to the stock corner for a wild ride. I won't reveal much, but you could say, it's not a great week for Mr. Wall Street himself. We talk about EA and how they've just been nailing it this year, and we talk about just how much they've been nailing it with, you've probably already guessed it, talking about Star Wars Battlefront 2. Act-Blizz has also done the rounds recently with Destiny 2, and the group chimes in on how XP isn't free. After finishing up the sweet stocks, and believe you me, they are sweet, the group takes a trip to the News. They talk about the big news item of the week, MEGA... wait for it... MAN. Two big Mega Man announcements and oh so much more.

When the group discusses games, ma lady (ma)Donna explains how the Emblems of Fire kept her warm at night, while the questing in Tamriel makes ESO (Elder Scrolls Online) something to behold. Instructor Josh "Jorsh Jankerson" the Second, regales us on how he just barely beat Super Mario Odyssey (sub 200 moons). Less than 500 moons, I mean, Come On! The Professor Brian "Brank" Broderson talks that sweet, sweet Mario Odyssey (875 moons, of course), and teaches the team about the history of Egypt with Assassin's Creed: Origins. Davey "BankStank" brings up WoW, AGAIN! I mean, this entire show is based on people only bringing up brand new games each and every week. Well, at least Dave has a new game (released 2016, so brand new) to talk about with Forza Horizon 3, a game with a story so deep, that he argues it should be nominated for an Academy Award, his words not mine.

Stank brings us up to speed on all them stocks. In the news we cover: the shuttering of Gazillion and the immediate end of Marvel Heroes; Destiny 2 and how changes have infuriated fans; Colin Moriarty's opinions on the ever controversial Star Wars Battlefront 2; Epic suing a 14-year-old cheater; and we end with talking about all those great games we've bought during this shopping season. Regarding Black Friday purchases, Dave reveals a surprise, that changes the way we all see the world, and has made me re-dedicate my life to Cthulhu.

Welcome back to the Super BS Gamescast! We have a very special episode for you today, featuring a very special return to form with the original cast. That's right, after a long hiatus due to some medical issues Donna has returned! So what have we been playing? I'm glad you asked. Donna has been playing Final Fantasy IV and Bastion. And because we've never talked about it, we go into detail about why Donna hates Final Fantasy the After Years. Brian got his hands on Undertale and apparently it's pretty awesome. Josh has been playing Uncharted: The Lost Legacy and goes into detail about what sets it apart from the main Uncharted series. Dave wasn't able to join us for this episode so . . . of course we talked about Final Fantasy some more. Ubisoft and Square-Enix have announced a crossover into each other's games. That's right, Final Fantasy XV will have an Assassin's Creed festival with special armor and campaign missions and allegedly, Assassin's Creed: Origins will have something similar.
